Our web studio was created in April 2009 in the city of Chernivtsi, which is in the south - west of Ukraine, as a trade brand of an individual - entrepreneur Oleg Alexandrovich Shevchenko. He is also our permanent leader.
At first it was a family business. The staff consisted of only three people. The first projects were the sites of the company "BTC Bud Market", network marketing of "Tyansha", private entrepreneur Draganchuk VD, who was engaged in woodworking and our own site. These sites were developed on the free hosting of UCOZ sites. A year later, realizing the futility of this platform, we began to master such CMS as: JOOMLA, WORDPRESS, DRUPAL. In 2011, through a freelance exchange, the web studio began to conquer the Ukrainian and world market for web development. From 2010 to 2014, the staff of the web studio has grown to thirty people. At the same time, there were 4 - 5 projects in development. Our representative offices began to open in different cities of Ukraine and even abroad. Things were going as well as possible and nothing boded anything bad. But as in any business, we also have our ups and downs. The most difficult years for us were 2014 - 2016. After the attack of the Russian Federation on Ukraine and more cheeky, thereby, Russia has not declared war, we could not stand aside! Without hesitation, we refuse all Russian clients, break off already signed contracts and close all representative offices in the Russian Federation (in seven cities). In connection with the payment of the forfeit under the broken contracts, we started having financial difficulties. In addition, the number of orders fell sharply, and revenues fell. To survive, we had to close all the remaining offices and reduce the staff to eight people. Ukrainian business, at that time, was also not up to our services. We had to start working with government agencies and authorities. Alas, this step did not save us much. And then, in order to survive, we went to reform the structure of the web studio and the approaches to our work. The first thing we did was to abandon the expensive office and move all work online, this gave us the opportunity to reduce costs by 30% from one time to another. Each new employee received a laptop with a built-in BIOS script that allows him to control how long he works on the task. That is, the payment became hourly and for the specific work done. This step allowed us to reduce costs by about 10%. Then we decided to abandon intermediaries and subcontractors. We do not conclude contracts with intermediaries! We carry out all stages of work, starting from domain registration with hosting and ending with a ready-made web resource, on our own. We develop most of the necessary components and modules ourselves, and the rest we buy directly from developers and under corporate licenses, which can be used for at least a hundred resources. For example, a component costs UAH 2,000 for an individual license, and UAH 2,800 for a corporate license. At first glance, it may seem that we are overpaying. But this is not the case. Under an individual license, the component can be used only on one site, and under a corporate license, we can install it on at least one hundred sites, and in some cases, the number of sites is not limited. This means that the use of this component will cost the client not 2800 hryvnia, but 56 hryvnia. At the same time, we receive for this component not 2800 hryvnia, but 5600 hryvnia. All these and others, our know-how, allowed us in two, and in some cases even in three, to reduce the cost of work and increase their profitability. We have achieved excellent value for money.
We survived! And we continue to work! Today we have three teams of four people for the development of web projects, one team of three people for the maintenance of sites, as well as two SEO specialists, one stylist, one psychologist and four more engineering and technical personnel. For the near future, we set ourselves two main tasks: to reach the military level of work and to resume the work of all our representative offices, EXCEPT Russia.
